Who writes our articles

Articles on The Techno Burst are written by the Techno Burst editorial team. Each article carries an author fact line that names the writer and links to their author archive, for example /author/denis/. If a piece is written by the team rather than one person, the fact line says so. We do not publish under invented names or fake credentials.

How we research articles

PC hardware claims are easy to get wrong, so we work from primary sources first. These include manufacturer manuals, spec sheets, and product pages for CPUs, coolers, GPUs, monitors, motherboards, PSUs, and keyboards.

  • Official documentation such as BIOS and UEFI manuals, chipset documentation, and vendor firmware release notes.
  • Standards bodies and their published specifications, including JEDEC for memory, VESA for display interfaces and mounting, ATX and SFX form factor specifications, PCI-SIG for PCIe, USB-IF for USB, and 80 PLUS for PSU efficiency certification.
  • Public data such as vendor spec databases, regulatory filings, and published test results where they are relevant to a buying decision.

We name the sources we rely on inside the article where it matters, so you can check them yourself. We do not cite sources we have not read, and we do not invent benchmarks, test labs, or review units.

How topics are chosen

Topics come from what readers actually ask, such as which CPU fits a given budget, whether a cooler handles a specific socket, which monitor resolution and refresh rate make sense for a GPU tier, whether a PSU has enough headroom, and how parts fit together in a full build. We also cover new releases when the specifications change a real buying decision. We do not publish a guide just because a product is popular or because a brand asked us to.

Independence and advertising

Editorial recommendations are made by the editorial team and are not for sale. We do not accept payment, gifts, or any other compensation for a placement, a ranking, a review score, or a mention in a buying guide. Sponsored content is not published on this site.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic, Google advertising partners as listed in our existing privacy policy, and Amazon Associates affiliate links. The footer on every page carries the Amazon Associates disclosure. These links may earn us a commission when you buy, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate status does not change what we recommend, because a product is included only when it it fits the criteria in the article, and we say when a part is a poor fit even if it pays a commission.

Use of AI tools

We sometimes use AI tools as a drafting aid, but a human editor is responsible for every published article and facts are checked against the sources above before publishing.

Corrections and updates

If you find an error, tell us through the Contact Us page. Include the article URL and the specific claim you believe is wrong. We review reports and make corrections within a few days. When a correction changes the substance of an article, we add a dated update note at the top or bottom of the page describing what changed. We also update guides when prices, firmware, or specifications shift, and those updates are dated as well.

Safety and advice limits

Our guides cover PC building and hardware selection. They are not a substitute for the manual that ships with your part. Follow the manufacturer instructions for installation, torque, cabling, and cooling. PSU and mains wiring work carries real risk of electric shock and fire; if you are not confident working inside a case or with AC power, use a qualified technician. Overclocking, undervolting, and BIOS changes can void warranties or damage hardware, and results vary by sample. Monitor advice covers settings and panel behavior, not medical or vision advice. Nothing here is professional engineering, electrical, or legal advice.

How to reach us

Corrections, source suggestions, and policy questions go through the Contact Us page. The site no longer accepts comments, so that page is the route for all editorial feedback.
