Best CPUs for RX 6800 and 6800 XT Graphics Cards

AMD has lagged beyond Nvidia throughout the graphics quality over many years, especially at a higher end. When radiation tracking has been the latest with a show-off function & customers may want the newest model.

AMD believes that with the latest Radeon RX-6000 sequence, designed just on RDNA-2 design, it will compete with Nvidia at the highest end. Till now, 3 Graphics cards released: the Radeon flagship RX-6900 XT, which aims to compete with the RTX GeForce 3090; a Radeon RX-6800 XT & RX Radeon 6800, which aims at players who want good 4K performance and don’t have endlessly stretchable resources.

It is AMD’s more positive statement for a long time, & indeed there’s more than that ray tracing and some early versions of it.

Currently, we’re putting the Radeon RX-6800 XT & RX Radeon 6800 through their speeds. These Graphics cards were released in the middle of 2020, but as predicted, supply in India has just been limited.

The manufacturer’s problems are exacerbated in India, whereby unfair pricing and restricted distribution frequently tip the balance in Nvidia’s direction even when output is similar.

AMD has indeed been trying to transform its luck with the latest Radeon Graphics cards designed overall RDNA design and its descendants. It has accomplished including its Ryzen computer Processors some few years earlier.

Configuration For The Radeon Amd Rx-6800 Xt & Radeon Rx-6800

4K is indeed the goal resolution, including many high-quality titles, along with the Radeon RX-6800. Lower-priced Graphics cards will likely be released later next year among those looking for 1440p & 1080p.

However, the three versions released so far are all aimed at enthusiast-class players. The RX Radeon 6800’s base performance in virtually all current-generation games was 4K & 60fps.

It’s configured as an upgrade over an RTX GeForce Ti 2080, which means it’ll compete with the RTX GeForce 3070. As per AMD, you can get more than 90 frames per second at 1440p.

The RX Radeon 6800 XT is optimized to compete with the RTX GeForce 3080, with 144-240fps @ 1440p in many esports tournaments and over 4K 60fps in modern AAA games at the highest quality settings.

However, allowing ray tracing would reduce these estimates. Even AMD’s authorized estimated production figures show that 1080p & 1440p are far more reasonable standards if you’d like to maintain or exceed 60 frames per second.

Nvidia achieves this by utilizing the DLSS(Deep-Learning-Supersampling) computer upscaling technique, which allows its Graphics cards to make smaller resolutions & then extend them out of it without quality loss. AMD is working on something identical but is not yet available.

The good news is that the graphics card ray tracing technology isn’t just for matches; it’ll also make content creation apps like Blender and Autodesk Maya run faster.

The RX Radeon 6800 has 60 effective CUs, one beam accelerator, and 64 streaming processors for something like a maximum of 3,840 streaming CPUs. It is capable of burst speeds of more than 2105MHz. An RX Radeon-6800 XT has 72 CUs, an equal amount of radiation accelerators, & 4,608 streaming processors & can run speeds until 2250MHz.

Both have 16GB GDDR6 RAM of 256-bit & a maximum bandwidth of about 512GBps. The 2 have TDP ratings of 250W & 300W, each, / AMD suggests 650W & 750W power supply units.

5 Best Processors For Radeon Rx 6800 And 6800xt

Are you searching for a CPU that could manage the RX 6800 & 6800XT’s energy? If that is so, we’ve compiled a list of the powerful CPUs for discount shoppers & efficiency enthusiasts.

Radeon Rx Amd 6800 Xt & Rx Radeon 6800 Reference Models

AMD’s relationship brands, including Gigabyte, MSI, Asus, ASRock, XFX, Sapphire, & Powercolor, are willing to design the respective Radeon GPU-powered graphics cards and those with AIO fluid coolers.

However, several of the Graphic cards on the market are based on AMD’s sample layout. Among the most widely available products in India, Sapphire would distribute cards similar to the reference units that we were evaluating now.

AMD does not sell its very own cards, as Nvidia is doing with Founders Variant versions, but a significant effort is put into the development. The RX Radeon 6800 XT & RX 6800 comparison cards were heavy & well-built.

Each has evaporation chamber chillers as well as a die-cast aluminium cover along with three custom-designed axisymmetric fans. When the graphics cards are not moving, the fan base will completely turn off.

All of this improves acoustic & cooling performance, and all these graphics cards should be smoother than past ones. Nonetheless, this development is said to enable some extent of overclocking, which will keep fans happy.

AMD claims that graphite patches are used to communicate between the Graphics card as well as the cooler. It is used instead of thermal material that can dry out over time. Thermal pads are also used to improve heat capacitance between cooler, GDDR6 storage, & power circuitry.

In contrast to Nvidia’s latest shrunken specification, which includes an adapter, AMD has been using regular 8-pin PCIe energy connectors. Both the RX Radeon XT 6800 & the RX Radeon-6800 have two 8-pin connections, mainly on the back that face upwards.

The RX Radeon XT 6800 reference design takes up 2.5 spaces, whereas the RX-6800 is slightly slimmer. Both of these are regular 10.5-inch lengths. AMD was using its trademark reddish color as a decoration from around the exposed heatsink vent on the bottom, & each card features a red-colored Radeon logo.

Both graphic cards include 1 HDMI 2.1 slot, 2 DisplayPort 1.4 slots, and an unusual Type-C USB port. AMD claims that this enables single-wire connectivity to head-mounted screens because it can provide a digital signal and up to 27W of energy.

If you have a triple-monitor system, you may need some adapters. The use of USB explores the path for potential displays that can be daisy-chained & include a USB hub and other compatible peripheral devices. But that is an attractive option given that the VirtualLink norm is essentially dead, & Nvidia eliminated this feature from the Founders Version cards just after 1 generation.

Far Cry-5 @ 4K uses Ultra presets and achieved averages of 80fps on RX Radeon XT 6800 & 72fps on RX 6800.

Mid Earth: Shade of Battle operated smoothly @ 4K with Ultra performance preset, maintaining 73fps mostly on RX Radeon 6800 but increasing to 82fps mostly on RX Radeon XT 6800.

Metro: Exodus even operated @ 4K with Ultra default, without beam tracing allowed, at 61fps & 52.35fps, mainly on two cards.

Doom: Eternity was incredibly smooth during manual gaming at 4K Ultra Horror resolution, hitting 150-160fps mostly on RX Radeon XT 6800 & 120-125fps also on RX Radeon 6800. As calculated by the in-game frames monitor, even now in heavy combat scenes. At Ultra 4K, A Witcher-3: Crazy Hunt sustained 84fps & 73fps, accordingly.

Then I switched to V Battlefield to see how AMD’s pass tracing design affected results. There is no option to increase the fps to accommodate the extra stress ray tracing placed on the current Radeon Graphics cards. It is because there is no DLSS counterpart.

In a noisy scene with lots of gunshots & running about, the RX Radeon XT 6800 maintained around 105fps. The quality is set at 4K as well as the Ultra performance preset.

A ray tracing allowed that to drop dramatically to approximately 60fps. The RX Radeon 64800 dropped even more dramatically, from about 95fps just to 40fps. If you want rays tracing effects, you’d need to reduce the quality & sacrifice consistency for the time being.

AMD’s latest cooler design appears to be successful because neither of the two cards checked was disruptive even when subjected to extreme load.

Verdict

We suggest the Ryzen-5 5600x for gameplay since it focuses solely on gameplay & is unconcerned about extra features like multicore results.

We suggest the Ryzen-7 5800x for gameplay & streaming since this has a single-core quality to power the Graphics card and the multicore quality to support the streaming.

We suggest the Ryzen-9 5900x for an excessive build as it utterly kills everything you put at it. It has excellent single & multicore performance.

We suggest the I7 -10700K for a well-balanced design since it has an excellent price-to-performance balance and performs well in games.
